It does not constitute professional dental or medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. 1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Teethly ("the Platform", "we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Platform.

These terms apply to all users of the Platform, including patients, community members, and any dental professionals who participate.

2. Not Medical Advice

All content on Teethly — including but not limited to articles, forum posts, community discussions, dentist responses, and educational materials — is provided for general informational purposes only.

Content on the Platform does not create a dentist-patient relationship. Responses from dental professionals on Teethly are general in nature and do not constitute a formal diagnosis, treatment plan, or professional opinion about your specific situation.

Always consult with a licensed dentist in person before making any decisions about your dental health.

3. Dentist Q&A Service

Teethly offers a private Q&A feature where users may submit dental questions to be answered by participating dental professionals. By using this feature, you acknowledge and agree that:

Responses are general health information only and do not constitute professional dental advice, diagnosis, or treatment
No dentist-patient relationship is formed through use of this feature
Teethly verifies participating dentists through a National Provider Identifier (NPI) registry check and a manual review of their dental license before approval; however, Teethly does not continuously monitor licensure status and makes no warranties about the accuracy or completeness of any individual response
You should always consult a licensed dentist in person for proper evaluation and care
Response times are not guaranteed and Teethly is not responsible for delays

        💡 If your question involves severe pain, swelling, fever, or any urgent symptoms — please see a dentist or go to an emergency room rather than waiting for a response on this platform.
      

4. User Content & Community

Users may post content in the community forum, including questions, replies, and discussions. By posting content, you agree that:

You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of content you post
You will not post false, misleading, or harmful health information
You will not impersonate a dental professional or healthcare provider
You grant Teethly a non-exclusive license to display your content on the Platform
Teethly reserves the right to remove content that violates these terms

Teethly does not endorse any user-submitted content and is not responsible for the accuracy of community posts. Do not rely on community advice as a substitute for professional dental care.

5. Accounts & Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to:

Provide accurate information when creating your account
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
Not share your account with others or create multiple accounts
Be at least 18 years of age to use the Platform

6. Privacy

Your privacy matters to us. Questions submitted through the Ask a Dentist feature are kept private and are not displayed publicly. Your personal information is never sold to third parties.

Community posts and forum discussions are visible to all registered users of the Platform. Do not include personal identifying information (full name, address, phone number, etc.) in public posts.

        🔒 Private Q&A questions are only visible to you and verified dental professionals on the platform. They will never appear in the public community feed.

7. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use Teethly to:

Post false, misleading, or dangerous health information
Harass, threaten, or harm other users
Impersonate a dentist, doctor, or other healthcare professional
Solicit patients or advertise dental services without authorization
Scrape, copy, or redistribute platform content without permission
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to platform systems
Use the platform for any unlawful purpose

Violations may result in immediate account termination.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Teethly and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to:

Reliance on any information, content, or responses provided on the Platform
Any dental treatment decisions made based on Platform content
Delayed or missed responses in the Q&A feature
User-generated content posted by community members

The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Teethly does not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

9. Changes to Terms

Teethly reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
